Billy Montana

Billy Montana

Billy Montana has achieved three #1 country records, which include Garth Brooks' "More Than A Memory" (2007), Sara Evans' "Suds In The Bucket" (2004) and JoDee Messina's "Bring On The Rain" (2002). "Bring On The Rain" was nominated for awards by both NARAS (Grammy's) and the Country Music Association and reached #6 on the A/C chart. It appeared on the Country and A/C Charts for a combined total of 66 weeks! "Suds In The Bucket" was the most played female country song of 2004. Billy Montana was first inspired to pick up a guitar as a teenager in rural upstate New York by his musician father and soon after formed a country/rock band with his brother. In college Billy decided to try music full time and traded studying agriculture at Cornell University for a record deal on Warner Brothers. His 1996 Warner Brother's release No Yesterday was critically acclaimed by such publications as USA Today, Music Row, and Billboard. Billy's songs have recurring themes of faith, love, and rural life. Many prominent artists including Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, David Nail, Pat Green, Jo Dee Messina, Sara Evans, Blake Shelton, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Sister Hazel, and LeAnn Womack have recorded his songs.

Shannon Whitworth

Shannon Whitworth

Shannon Whitworth has deep Southern roots. The strangeness and charm of her music defies any sort of strict categorization, giving her a sound that is smoky-jazz feeling with hot flourishes and honeyed flashes of Patsy Cline. She's also a blues singer, with a sultry purr of a voice that can make a man - or a woman, for that matter - repent, capitulate or just plain fall in love. On Water Bound, Whitworth's second album, she and producer Neilson Hubbard paint the songs with watercolor washes of sound, blurring the lines between Americana, blues, jazz and something else altogether. Whitworth and her hand-picked band went on tour in 2011, opening for the likes of Chris Isaak and Raul Malo. They played Merlefest, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Strawberry Festival and the Savannah Music Festival, Cayamo Songwriters Cruise as well as clubs and theaters across the country. Her newest work, soon to be released in 2012, continues the evolutionary path soliciting the talents of Band of Horses' bassist, Bill Reynolds who is also known for his work with The Avett Brothers and Lissie among others. Shannon is also pulling in bandmate, producer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, and Floating Action frontman, Seth Kauffman. Matt Smith on Electric guitar, lap and pedal steel compliment Barrett Smith on electric and acoustic guitar. Furthermore, this group features a very smooth and distinctive vocal blend.
